Started off the season with the TETHRD saddle & switched early on to the Buzzard roost. Preferred the Buzzard roost though Id still like to do something different with the leg straps. I found the ones supplied to be near impractical to utilize.
I know it’s frowned on, but I was pleased to see the leg straps were removable when I received my buzzard roost. I put them up and out of the way.

Once I got them figured out, I actually see them as a genius design! With the triangular shape on the bottom there is more support. After several practice runs just putting the entire saddle on and taking it off, I can now clip in with my eyes closed. Also love the way they can be removed cleanly versus getting cut off.

What's the deal with the leg loops on the Buzzard Roost? They don't bother me. I keep them loose. The entire point of leg loops is to keep the saddle from sliding up to your armpits. They don't have to be tight. You can also try threading the leg loops through the bottom panel bridge loops.

Suppose I have failed to put in the effort. Been a PIA for me to figure out. been hunting primarily cold weather & having a hard time getting them hooked up with the heave cold weather gear. Ended up going without the straps & that been less desirable.

Oh you have the G-Hooks with the retainer spring. Those are a no go with gloves. If you really want to use the leg straps, upgrade to the cobra buckles. https://buzzardroostsaddles.com/shop/ols/products/cobra-buckle-style-legstraps

I just ordered mine last week. Went the custom route only to get the color combos I wanted. They’re backed up until after the first of the year. Just FYI. I can’t wait and plan to do a review.

You are on to something here. I'll give the Cobra buckles a try.

Thank you!
Or you could replace the clips with regular G hooks without the retaining spring. I put them on my Hawk saddle and they are easy to connect with gloves on.

I picked up my new Buzzard Roost a couple of days ago. I'm guessing some changes have been made based on pictures and videos I've seen. It looks like the leg loops have been re-worked. I'm pretty impressed with it. The comfort level able to be achieved with the independent panel adjustments are awesome. (And, that's coming from a past JX3 zealot). The adjustable bridge method he used with this is super simple. I think I'm going to be pretty happy with this setup.
