Calling All Ameristep Users!

I just setup my two prototypes on a tree out back. I used a ratchet strap as my new OCB strap is in the mail. After testing the new strap, I may work out something with a manufacturer to offer a package deal. Steps worked great and felt VERY stable. Will wait to hear from the gurus and see how their testing goes. I've only stood on Ameristeps, screw in steps, and the little API folding steps.

Also, my buddy and I are making plans that involve a hi-lo, tree, chain, scale, cameras, etc. Stay tuned - this will be at least a week or more away.

Backburner for a bit. Mounting on the front needs to be looked at, but not really enough meat to tap a hole above the lag screw opening. Too many projects and not enough time! We're going back and forth on tree v-brackets right now and should have a sketch to show everyone tmw, then I'm off for 4 days hunting/camping/canoeing. Fortunately my machinist isn't a hunter so he'll be able to crank out some SquirrelSteps, DoubleSteps, and tree brackets while I'm gone hopefully!
 
I’ll be in for ring of steps and also some stand offs to mess around with

OCB buckle - might be able to include one, just waiting on mine to arrive to test out and if I'm satisfied, I'll stock some to make available with the steps. I reached out to IMMI to see about bulk ordering just their buckles and they responded back declining to sell them in bulk like that. Don't understand that. Working on a different solution.
 
And he screwed them up. I have to test these out. The slot was supposed to be 1/8 not 1/4

Those steps look good until you look at the slot. I guess those wanting a 2” strap could definitely fold one in half and run it through lol. Those teeth look a little on the aggressive side but it may be wanted with no angle on the step. Nothing a few seconds with a disc sander couldn’t fix it you did decide to tone them down a little. Let us know how they test out.
