Calling all saddle manufactures!

I bought a large Aerohunter Evolution figuring it would be better with heavier clothing. The aluminum paws that all the straps attach to, went up under my ribs and created extreme pressure points on my ribs. I thought the large size caused this so I made a size 1 (small) out of a size two by tucking and sewing just like a good seamstress (seamstran?) would do. A vertical tuck and a horizontal tuck did it.

The Aero Evo is really a football shaped saddle with added thigh supporting leg loops and an added waistbelt. I removed the waistbelt from mine and sat in just the seat part and it worked fine. It would be better for hot weather use that way.

This is why I have gone back to a New Tribe Tengu saddle with a Petzl Podium. You get the padded comfort of the saddle as well as additional comfort added with the seat. I have tried many soft saddles as well as the JX3 and this setup rivals it . For my particular climbing style nothing suits me better. Sling/ soft type saddles are great for mobility and a degree of comfort but I found myself always trying to add things to my hunting saddle to make it more conducive to actual climbing . I think most saddle manufacturers are catering to stick climbers and not tree climbers.

I’ve hunted out of a sit drag, Mantis, Tactisaddle, H2 and now have a Treehopper. After 4 hours I want to jump out of the tree. One maybe a little better than the other but it’s still a constant pressure on your A$$ that doesn’t go away. I guess I’m a baby and just need padding.

A Cruzr XC or JX3. Made for babies, especially the JX3.

No hip pinch. And no knee pain with the JX3

When do you think any manufacture will come out with a padded saddle? Sitting on webbing, mesh or canvas is not comfortable after an extended period of time. Think about it any chair seat or something that you have to sit on has cushioning on it. Why aren’t we putting cushioning in the saddles? Call me a baby.
My Guido's Web has a cushion. It's no longer made but it's like sitting in a recliner. The JX3 is something like it.

I always thought about just making a little exendable stick that would just hold my bridge loops apart at the width if my waist. Like an aluminum collapsible leg pole with the button or something and a way to attach to bridge loops where bridge attaches. Just wasnt sure if that would be a safety issue or something. Hammock chairs have a pole that hold open the chair so it doesnt collapse around you. Figured it may be a safety issue because you don't want to easily get out of your saddle when hanging up in a tree but haven't spent time thinking it through really.

@CrackbottomLouis @Noonespecial - Some thoughts on that idea (and a couple of solutions) lie in this thread...
