Cam cleats on beast sticks???

Couldn’t take it any longer. I ordered harken micro cleat, some #8-32 x 1.5” chrome plated stainless pan head screws, and some 18-8 SS flange nuts. I used the versa button hole for the bottom screw then centered the cleat marked the hole with drill bit and drilled second hole. The hole process from opening the packages, drilling the hole, tightening screws, eating dinner, splicing amsteel and testing took less than 20 minutes. Probably the easiest mod I’ve done. The cleat isn’t rated for that much working load but in theory it’s not taking all the load most of it will be transferred to the stick. I’m 220 lbs and I jumped on it repeatedly with no signs of give. Ordering 3 more to complete the stack.

What sizes Amsteel is this? Sorry if I missed that somewhere.

I believe it’s 7/64. It’s main purpose has been for my pull line.

Update on the cam cleat. I had an issue over the weekend with that small diameter amsteel. When under load it actually slipped out below the cam cleat and lodged underneath the cleat itself. It still held but made it a challenge to pull out. I believe this was only and issue because it is right on the minimum diameter for this cleat. I used it several times and it only happened one time. I plan on changing out the rope for a larger diameter ASAP.

Do you think the 6mm oplux will hold well? That's what I plan on using.

Just ordered some of that from doublesteps. Thanks for the info.
