Well some people feel the need to steal someone else’s property and cell cameras are at the top of the list for most deer hunters. I had two Reveal cameras stolen recently - so I bought two new ones too replace them and desired to put them in the same location…but this time with a twist. I put air tags behind the computer boards on all my cameras in this location. Wouldn’t you know it - my thief came back and took another camera but this time it had a AirTag inside…I was at work at the time and I got to watch it travel down the road several miles away. Ok here’s what I found out…it’s not legal to trace a cell camera by law but it is legal to trace a AirTag…”I thought to myself are you kidding me” I called the police after pulling up in this persons driveway once I had the cameras location. I went to the corner and waited for the police to make a report which I did, but they informed me I had to make a report in the township where it was stolen in so they could investigate it. So here’s where it gets interesting…I went to the police station in that township the following morning and showed the police officers the AirTags location and pictures of the individual with the camera and his vehicle since the Smart Thief left the camera on and it’s still on showing me pictures of the inside of his truck and garage LOL. The police made a visit and talk to the person but he denied stealing the camera but the AirTag shows it’s in his garage…the police officers contacted me and said there’s nothing they can do…let’s just say our conversation went south at that point…guys there’s all kind of ways perpetrators receive protection from the law while victims remain on the receiving end with no justice…it’s the world we live in today…the moral of the story is believe every criminal when they deny their crimes…as long as he says he didn’t do it - he must be telling the truth
