Camofire

That and the FedEx building in Salt Lake sucks. All of my CamoFire packages sit there for about 5 days before moving through.
I think fedex is pretty much the absolute worst delivery service to ever make it to the top. Anything I’ve ever ordered fedex didn’t show up on time and and can’t count how many times it showed up destroyed.

I tried to return a coat to Black Ovis. I sent it out on Jan 18, it made it to Salt Lake City on Jan 28. It is still bouncing back and forth between Salt Lake City and North Salt Lake at this time. It has never made it back to Black Ovis but, BO was awesome to deal with and refunded my money anyway.

Just an FYI for everyone, you can call Camofire and order the stuff they have in stock at anytime. You don't have to wait until it comes back on the website. When I see, small items that I don't want to pay the shipping on, I make a note of the item and description and then when I have a worthwhile order I'll call and order it all at once. Also, if you're not in a hurry you can then tell them you want to do "combined shipping". It will cost $9.99 and they will hold it for seven days and you can add any other items you see in that time frame for an extra dollar in shipping costs.

I have ordered random stuff over the years from CF. Sometimes I wish I never stumbled on to the site. Customer service is good. Order the wrong size Arctic pro muck boots and they exchanged them with no issues. Ive had them for several years and work great. Ordered a pair of Irish setters uninsulated knee highs last year before season. The heal began to leak so they are trash.
I just got an alps turkey vest last week. The one the that I had was too big, but I like all of the pockets. The new alps extreme minimalist. I guess that the saddle hunter in me taking over in other worlds. wish it had 2 more pockets
Just ordered two Avian X hen decoys yesterday.

Mind blown

Good to know Im not alone in checking Camofire for back up gear I don’t need.

Black ovis merino beanie in grey was around 10$ w/o shipping and is a great piece.

scentblocker drencher grey rain pants- questionable. Prob only waterproof for about 2 hours. Would not purchase again even though they weremore than half off

Browning ATACS rain jacket - great deal and nice jacket , was just too snug and for the few times I hunt in the rain a year I just wear a solid shell

I might pick up over boot warmers and Lowa’s eventually

shipping keeps me from buying often and the deals aren’t really that great, exceptions seem to be for really odd sizes

I’ve done better on midway or Field Supply for deals on discontinued/ middling quality gear (rain jackets , gloves, insulating layers, Primaloft )

The stick on light switches that come in a 2 pack for 10 bucks are decent...1 light will be white and the other green. Ive had them stuck to the inside of my truck bed under the tonneau cover for a while now...they needed better sticky Velcro tape then what came in the box and they can sometimes dim/flicker but a little tap tap with my finger and they good again. Nice for predawn/after dark work/organization on the tailgate...

Are you on camofire's pro staff? I've checked that site there times in the past two days because of this thread. Lol
Negative...I thought it would be a good thread because I see stuff on there and wonder if it's worth ordering.... If others already have and talk about it then maybe it helps me/others make a better decision....

Shipping kinda steep imo but they sometimes have so good deals on good stuff....

Camo fire is the devil. Especially when companies like plythal and predator add over stock. I’ve only ever bought the black ovis pants and merino from camo fire all around happy. Buyers remorse on not buying the predator or plythal though.

2 Alpz waterproof compression sacks
arctic shield boot blankets
3 sitka ball caps

all arrived and were new in box, shipping time and shipping notification could be better

I like Camofire, but mlre often the discount is almost negated by the shipping. I have ordered several things. Once I got a shipment completely missing an item, then another with an item I didn't order.

Overall I like the site. If patient you can find good deals.

Pnuma Insulator mid-layer vest is legit. Tag says the 3M thinsulate is equivalent to 650-800g fill. Bought it at ~$33 (originally $110). The tail is nice and long, pockets are fleece lined, there is a inner drawstring at the bottom hem, and this thing is WARM. Probably going to buy my wife one when it comes around again and she ain't even a hunter :D

Edit: Oh and the Terra pattern isn't made with brighteners. Cmon man... of course I checked when I got it!

Edit edit: Turns out I 'accidentally' put another small one of these vests (Caza - the color I don't have) in the cart this morning when buying my wife one. Tried real real hard but the dern thing wouldn't come out of the cart. ;)
Second (and third) Pnuma vests showed up yesterday. Again, they are legit. Wife loved hers. The Caza is a real cool pattern and again, no brighteners.

I threw a Pnuma Base Haven 1/4 zip top in the cart with this order as well. That thing is cool beans - 54% polyester, 38% wool, 8% spandex and no brighteners.

Arctic shield booties for the win. I’m a girl scout when it comes to cold feet and I can do uninsulated rubber boots with a hand warmers tossed in my boot covers and be good to about 20. Below 20 I prefer to have insulated boots and my booties.
