Candles or scents for the house

Same here. I even tried to find some study that would link scented candle to lung disease, but no luck.

There may not be a conclusive study but there has to be a contribution there. After all, manufactured scents are chemical recipes distributed in the form of an inhalent.
Keep looking. I'm with you, there has to be something. I'm not believing that scents assembled in a mass market chemistry lab don't have something dangerous in them. The ingredient "Fragrance" listed in cosmetics like deodorant can hide a lot of sins under the guise of proprietary blend.

I have always wanted the separate washer/dryer but don’t have the setup for it.

But I do leave all my gear outside away from the pumpkin spices and the like.

Ive seen a compromise situation for some guys where they just use the free and clear detergent for everything. Its free of any perfumes or dyes and some wives dont mind just using it vs the scented stuff, especially if you have people in your house with sensitive skin.

I think a nice smell of vanilla or lavender is a lot less alarming and attractive to deer that your wet butt cheek farts and occasional lasagna burps…. Just sayin…
So long as the scent is actually vanilla / lavender or whatever and not a bunch of synthetic chemicals. Nothing says humans like bottled chemical perfumes.
