Carrying in Hawk Heliums option: Yoga Mat straps?

Every set up I've tried with packs always ends up either not secure or too much for the brushy areas I occasionally hunt.

Wondered if there was a way to refit/re-purpose a strap like they make for carrying rolled up Yoga mats.

Has anyone ever tried carrying in your sticks this way?
 
I use the lone wolf straps that are used to connect the two parts of a lone wolf climber. Got a pad off amazon for more comfort.
 
If I recall correctly, I think you can order this through strapworks. I have one and it works great with my Helium hawk sticks.

So, what would the advantage be to using a specific strap vs. just girth hitching your teather around the sticks and tying a couple overhand knots on the other side? I am just asking because that is what I have been doing, but I am always looking for ways to improve.
 
I replaced my stock helium straps with versa straps and use the 2 of the original webbing straps tied together with a paracord prussic which makes it adjustable. Weave the straps through the slots on the bottom stick of your stack. The strap never comes off. This has worked well for me this season and I already had everything laying around.

I've tried this and any know or configuration I tried would slip off or up-and-down the sticks.

COuld you post pic of how you do it?
 
I have used a cayg aiter girth hitched around both ends of the sticks as an over the neck strap, downside is no adjustability for the right fit. Using tether or linemans belt girth hitched on one end and carabiner on the other attached to small loop on the stick could provide some adjustability. I try to avoid carrying an extra strap. A visit to the craft store and you could by cheap webbing and necessary plastic buckles and sliders to make whatever you want. Minimal hand sewing or just tying a knot would work. I saw a gun sling at Walmart this week that was 2 slings joined together to "backpack" carry the gun. I have thought about doing this to sticks but am afraid the steps or standoffs will dig into my back and the sticks will flop side to side.

I know this isn’t perfect but it’s been working for me this season. First in the saddle. As mentioned above, LB girth hitched and use the prussic on the other as your adjustment works good also. I use this method last year

use a duffel bag strap because they have the fatter shoulder pad and double duty as a back rest.

Limbsaver bow sling. The plain green webbing version. Works amazing! Holds them tight together and creates a strap to carry on your shoulder. It’s lightweight. An it goes on and off quick, easy, and quietly. An it’s only $11

I think lonewolf makes acaring strap f or sticks. I bought one a few months ago
 
Take a look @ the Voile straps they are awesome!! 15" straps will hold 2 sticks great if you're wanting to stack more get the 24".
