Carrying your sticks

Now that I have my SitDrag modified, setup, and tested, I need to figure out best way to carry my sticks now that I won’t have a lock on. Any suggestions?

Some people strap them onto their backpack others may carry them and strap their gun /bow on the pack.

Carrying them and wrestling them through the brush is the reason I got away from multiple sticks. When I did carry several sticks, I would strap two to the outside of each side of my bag. I would stand them up and down because they would catch more sideways.

Limbsaver bow sling works great for me. Carries them as well as keeps them stacked tight. I can also control them at my side and steer them through brush. I went away from strapping to a pack as it adds more fiddle factor once at the tree. I don’t even have to take my pack off at the tree. Just undo sticks, hook up my bow, get out the lineman’s belt and start climbing.

I used to use 2 Lone Wolf extension straps as a sling. Now I use my aider and sling them over my shoulder.

Is this the same one you use?

Does anyone use their tether or lineman's belt to carry sticks? You're already carrying them.

No reason you can't but my linesman stays girth hitched to my saddle. I could use my tether but it just does not work as well for me anyway. If you can make it work and are happy with it the double duty makes good sense.

If you want to waste more time setting up then strap them down to your pack. If you want to be fast and mobile carry them by hand like a rifle.
