I've been looking at an Xbow, and honestly this one keeps coming back up as a good value for the money, but worth a scope upgrade. Who has one and what are your pros/cons of this xbow?

Owned a sniper elite 370 "whisper" for three years, the whisper part seems comical after shooting a compound. Scope has been solid for me, haven't looked too hard at replacements since it's main function is to get my kids more hunting opportunities while they're young. Trigger is okay, haven't shot any other crossbows to compare it too, but it's definitely a step below what I would find acceptable on a rifle. The adjustable stock is one of its best features IMO. I shortened the rail underneath to allow my Swagger QD42 to attach and that makes it very easy to steady and shoot, without a bipod or solid rest it's a lot to handle IMO, very front heavy

I guess I'm open to other options too. I saw a couple mention this one in the other cheap xbows thread.

I'm a huge fan of Bear bows, so I've been looking at some of them, but from what I've seen in reviews, the serving can be an issue. That isn't a huge deal to have it reserved.

One of the things that I liked about the CP370 is the adjustable stock, once set I wont need it too much, but I like adjusting the comfort to me, instead of adjusting me to the weapon. The other is the rail in the front, I could put mount a telescopic leg onto it, and have a super steady platform to shoot from. Also the system is ambidextrous, since I'm a lefty firearms shooter.

Have you looked at the Barnett ? I keep eyeballing them. I haven't got my hands on one yet. But they have sure been making them for a while. Few deals on some ATM.

I wish I would have got one of those CenterPoint CP400s? Or the HP. Which ever that narrow one is when they had a super sweet deal on them.

The step thru foot loop for cocking had me interested in them. I wanted to actually hold one and see how it feels before I ordered one.

For the money the center point is pretty good. I feel like my complaints are pretty standard for anything in that price range. If I was buying another one at retail pricing I would probably buy a hickory creek mini, after owning a horizontal crossbow I don't desire another one

they are on sale right now, 10 1/2" uncocked, 6" cocked, that is pretty narrow

I believe they discontinued the 370. The 385 is the newer version. My brother got one for my nephew. I have a 370. The trigger is mushy. The stock scope is fine but a speed scope will be more accurate because you can match the speed of your arrow to the scope. The stock one isn’t adjustable and the hold overs were off. I upgraded to a Killer Instinct speed ring scope. But can’t complain too much for a <$300 xbow.
