For the few that may use a pioneer/squirrel/Cranford step with some sort of aider, what are the best options for aiders to be used with strap/daisy attachment style steps?

Does the aider not slip off the step? Especially the smooth cranford.

I use treehopper steps. Both steps angle upward so it should not be an issue.
Not the best pic.

I got some pioneer steps but not sure if i want to risk an aider on a step but 18’ with only 5 steps is tempting just not quite worth dying for.

I tried some Pioneer steps with a daisy chain and truckers hitch. Also tried a buckle strap. I could not get them to not pull out from the tree at the top. The Treehoppers do not.
See post 4. Also I climb with a linesman and my tether.
