I garuntee you it’s bc women don’t want to do them in general that’s been proven for ages. Find me a female on a drill floor, YOU WONT only field I’ve ever worked around females was real estate. Glad my wife is normal, I refuse to call it traditional bc it’s just normal or at least what should be the norm. Especially with kids and my wife will say the same thing and fight you harder than I would on it. She’ll say when you have a kid your now full time job is MOM, PERIOD leave work for the men and single women lol god I love that woman.As far as women in trades, I'd say it's because women don't want to do those jobs more so than the men won't let them in. My sister in law operates construction equipment in Chicago. She can basically work for whoever she wants and probably gets paid more because she's a woman. I'm sure it varies by location and probably more so by trade (physical strength requirements), but in a lot of cases, being female would help with scoring a job.
