Crispi Valdres $100 off

I also replaced mine for the same reason. I have really high arches too but went with Mastercraft insoles because they fit my foot better than the superfeet I tried. I change the insoles in pretty much every hunting boot for that reason.

I assume you mean Masterfit? Or does the boat company make insoles too?

What insole do you use? The Superfeet's work for me but, I'm not convinced that there's not something better out there.

I did. The Wyoming's were the first Crispi boot I bought. The Wyomings are the widest boot Crispi makes. There was too much volume in the toe box for me. It caused some severe pinching on top of my foot even with thicker insoles. The Valdres are a slightly narrower boot. They aren't as narrow as my Asolo's and some other European brands that I have tried though.

I have a wide toe box, so these are a no go for me?

So I have the Luwa Renegade GTX is it worth the money to get these when i already own them and i do like them?

I think the 2 are very comparable from a fit and comfort standpoint but the Valdres is a little stiffer. Terrain use would be the deciding factor for me. For reference Renegades are my everyday wear boot for work or casual wear. I hunt in the crispi's.

They are master something or other, ski boot insoles. Found em in Telluride. I will go check the google.

If you have steep and/or rocky ground, imo, yes they are worth it. If you primarily are in rolling or flat ground with little or no rock, then I would think the renegade is plenty good.

I thought I had a wide foot. I have bought several pair of work boots and tennis shoes in wides because they fit better. I also tried a couple different European boots that were too narrower. That's why I went with the Wyoming's to start. They were too wide. I had to go the the narrower Valdres.

Best info I can offer is Midway has a good return policy.

If I remember correctly, they make the buyer pay for return shipping though. Correct me if that is incorrrect as the website doesn't mention the return shipping.

Possibly. I did purchase from and return the Wyomings I tried to Midway but, don't remember the details. I do remember that I almost paid for a pair of boots in all of the trying and returning I did last summer before I found the Valdres.

Confession, I would have called you crazy if you told me I would spend over $200 on boots but this is a heck of a deal right?
Just practicing to be able to convince my wife.

If they fit your feet well, I think you will love them, I do. There was no break in with mine. Did 14 miles in the San Juan mountains first day with no issues at all. Mine are still like new shape but still seriously considering getting another pair for down the road.

I bought a pair too based on how much I like my other Crispi ones and I was wanting another non hunting pair anyway. Fingers crossed!

Just got my first ever pair of Crispi Valdres boots, delivered today. I haven't owned a pair of lace ups in over 10 years.... hopefully I can make the transition back.
They feel pretty comfortable just walking around the house so far. Looking forward to taking them to Colorado for elk this September. I really appreciate all the enablers in this thread, not sure what I would do with my money if it wasn't for you guys.

Just got mine yesterday as well. @GCTerpfan was very accurate in his description of the Valdres versus the Wyomings. I think they are going to work just fine with thinner socks than my Wyomings (which I bought and sized for thicker socks).
