I'm new to saddle hunting. I'm buying the cruzr kit. Can I use a ropeman 1 with the linemans rope and tether that comes with the kit?
 
Yea I believe the ropes they sell are 11mm. The ropemen 1’s are rated for 10-13mm I believe. Good saddle choice have herd a lot of good things about them. Seem to be blowing up lately.
 
You can use a ropeman but should back it up really. Not made for handling falls just ascending. They are other friction hitches you can learn that are easier to move after you put weight on them. A ropeman is great on a linemens belt though. For your tether you really won't need to adjust it very often. So its really an unnecessary piece of equipment and not as safe if you have a kickoff at hunting height.
