Day 1 of DIY Bow Shop Build

Do you like having carpet on there vs just plywood?
I’m not sure if it’s beneficial to having just plywood, other than looks a lot nicer and feels a little “homier”...certainly easier on the elbows after a couple hours of standing around BS’ing with buddies—that’s prolly the biggest benefit so far. Definitely worth the $12 worth of carpet I used IMO.

Just about all a guy needs right there! Is that bow vise awesome?! I don’t love the EZ Green vise but it’s sufficient.
Yes it is beyond awesome. I had a little remorse after hitting pay now. But then it arrived, I set it up and used it....worth every penny and I would buy it again.

The carpet knocks down the noise, keeps from scratching the finish on risers/limbs and it keeps small bolts from bouncing onto the floor and getting lost.

Sweet setup! I think I would need a small dumpster to get my workshop looking that tidy. But, I just might need that junk someday in a pinch

A small carpet remnant on the floor too helps the feet with fatigue on longer sessions in the shop vs standing on concrete for hours.

Great points...next Wednesday is payday so plan on getting some carpet runners then to stand on.

Looking good!!
Like that you scored the LCA draw set up too.
Did you find a deal on that?
Unfortunately, no. Was hoping they’d have a sweet deal with everything going on in the world, but everything was still full price.

If you aren't careful, this is what it will turn into!!IMG_4039.jpg But I know where everything is! The pathetic reality is that when I need to press a bow, I actually take my EZ Green (its mounted to two 2x6"s that I clamp onto my bench or work table and work on it there. My wife says I have a problem. Do you think I have a problem?

That is bad to the bone! I love it! What do you have on the wall behind your target? Also, what target is the big white one?

Thanks! I have 4” thick pink foam insulation behind the target just in case. The target is a DIY. Has 3’ x 3’ target faces from www.thirdhandarchery.com on each side, a simple 2” x 4” frame construction and is stuffed with old clothes, towels, and rags. I got the idea from DIY_Sportsman on YouTube. I’ve put a lot of arrows into it and it is holding up really well. The target is 12” thick. I have not blown a single arrow through it into the foam yet.

Exactly what I was gonna say

I get the unfinished basement and my wife gets the rest of the house. I am perfectly fine with that arrangement. Now, I just need to locate an 8’ piece of telephone pole or log down there to hang from to stay in saddle shape year round.
