Did I tie this figure 8 knot correctly?

Have some new 8mm Oplux from Dano and tied a figure 8 knot for the first time. The instructional video I used says all the strands should be parallel. They are on one side but when I flip the knot over it does not look 100% correct to me. Did I make a mistake with this knot? I gotta get this right cause it's for my son who weighs about 270. Pictures of both sides of the knot are attached.

Thanks for your inputs!

Phil

Knot looks good. I would reccomend putting a stopper knot right next to your knot.

I looks right make sure you dress it and tighten it up and like Watt burp said put a stopper knot next to the figure 8.

I just had to rearrange the strands some and now it is parallel on both sides

No expert but I believe this is called "dressing the knot" which is a best practice, I think you could google that term and understand it better than I can explain.

This.
Dressing the knot. Thank the rock climbers for that one...

Also, as mentioned previously, a tag end knot around the rope is recommended, but the decision is yours.
Personally i think if the figure 8 fails you have bigger problems and little time to debate the issue

Any time you bend a line you're gonna get twists like you experienced especially I with tight line like oplux. It helps to flake it out and make sure the strands are all running same direction. As others have said good idea to put stopper knot in the bitter end.
