Are there different models?

I bought a 5 pack on here recently. They all pack tight and are a little textured.

I later bought 2 more on here (or maybe archery talk) and they are smooth and don’t pack nearly as tight as the other set. They seem to come to a steeper point and don’t pack well at all with my 5 pack.

I listed the 2 that don’t fit with my others, and would like to buy 1 more to pair with a perch; however, I didn’t want to buy one from WE and it also not pack with this other set.

Great question
I own 24 of the original Stepps I bought 5-6 years ago and they all have a textured foot rest bar and stack VERY tight essentially zero gap between each and stack VERY neatly.

That’s how my 5 pack is.
Is it the newer ones that don’t stack tight and are smooth?

I know there are other brands that look like WE stepps but are from a different manufacturer. Hope someone didn't pass off those as WE stepps.

I have 2- 5 packs purchased in 2020 a few months apart and 1 pack is smooth and the other is textured . They seem to be slightly different.

Bought mine from Jim stepp years ago and they are too much trouble. The arms bend too easily trying to set them. They flip up too often and also tilt sometimes when applying side pressure.

Are the set of ( 2 ) that you bought black or greenish grey?
Does the cross bar sit basically flush with the curved portion of the step, or is it welded about 3/4" down on the set of ( 2 ) that you acquired?

If they are black and the cross bar is connected further down the curved portion relative to the original set of ( 5 ) that you have - you bought Primal steps, not Wild Edge steps.

Perhaps a picture or three and people here can help.

Both steps are stamped with the WE name, not that it would be the true identifiable feature.

The step with less stealth strip is the one I bought as a pair (2 only). The other one with stealth strip on the step and each is the one that came within a 5 pack, with the bag.

After seeing your pics I pulled both my 5 packs out and all 10 fit together with no space between steps. I would tend to beleave what Jason M posted if the smaller step is WEI.

Makes sense. I appreciate the insight.
