Here they are finished, I wasn't too concerned with the added weight bc these are the only 3 steps I'll be using with my aider I can get to 20 ft hunting height. I just wanted a solid sure way that would make the carabiner not move at all

I attach aider to tether with friction hitch and drape over my step. works great
