Loved the look and functionality of what you’ve built. I will be shamelessly copying it to the best of my ability! Ordered everything from DanO this evening about 5-6 pm and already got a shipment confirmation number!

One recommendation I would make is to check where the top stand off nut/bolt are going to line up with the platform before drilling your hole. I got lucky and it just barely clears.

How do you attach that to the tree with both ends of the strap tied into the seat?

Started on mine today. Will probably a double step to top and cobra braid around edge of platform.

I too am building this same seat. LW seat, and parts from DanO. I think I Get the construction aspect of the platform. But my question is how are you guys packing it in? How are you getting it up the tree? This will be my first year saddle hunting and I have a long walk to my spot. Am i overthinking this? is it as easy as putting in a pack and that's it?

It should fold-up up nice. . But when you drill the center hold for the platform, just pay attention to where it lands when you fold it for transport. But you still want to be as close to center as possible. As far as transport, I strap it to my pack. It only weighs about 4lbs. Getting it up, I use pull rope or hook my pack to the tree, then mount platform. Either way works. Good luck
