Very cool idea. How is camming it over? Looks like you’d be canning to max rope length at 90 degrees then losing tension as you come down past 90? Or does the downward travel make up for the distance the holes are from the tree?

Yeah, thats exactly what camming over is, getting past the maximum tension point is what keeps the platform from springing back up.

So how is this idea working after some time using it?
Unfortunately due to a shoulder injury i havent had a chance to really test it. Im on the mend though. Gonna shoot a bow for the first time in 6 weeks on monday, going to the local shop and shooting a genesis at 20 or 30 lb draw.

I understand completely as im just getting over a left hand injury that has kept me from shooting my bow as well. I hope you continue healing!
