Does anyone recall a time bows go on sale? Black Friday? Or new years? After season clear out? Or are they pretty much steady MSRP?
Agree. I'm not after the lastest and greatest. Only thing about new to me is a lifetime warranty. I am trigger shy to spend 5-6 hundred and have a failure again few years down the road. Are the odds of that happening again to me good or bad? How much of a betting man am I. I seem to always loose on those odds. Most don't. But I do.Bows are like phones. Old models depreciate rapidly. I had an elite synergy. $1k new for a bare bow when they came out. 5 years later and you could get one kitted out used for half that. I know because I sold mine once I fully embraced the mini.
A decade ago you could get bows with 85% let-off and 95% cam efficiency. That tech has peaked and I don't care what the manufacturer says.

I'm just evaluating fix it, versus cut my looses and get a lifetime warranty.
The limbs on my Bowtech are flaking. Bought used a few years ago. What failed?

As much as I would like to buy a new one. I just don't think it's worth it. Yeah it could shoot better than what I have. But I don't think 900$ better. Versus 250 for a set of limbs. I'd rather try more gear than buy a bow..Do you have bows in mind @MattMan81 ? There's lots of eyes on the forum. I can't seem to keep myself out of sporting goods stores... I'll be happy to be on the lookout and pass any info along. ( I've seen a couple for about 15% off. I didn't follow through but was told there were hoyts new at a great price locally- Definitely will check if you'd like)
If you're leaning towards fixing your rig that's great, I don't mean to twist your arm or anything and if you're youngins are into archery the press and limbs might very well be the better route!
I've seen inventory sales right around the start of the week of hunting season.Does anyone recall a time bows go on sale? Black Friday? Or new years? After season clear out? Or are they pretty much steady MSRP?
