Duck dog name ideas

C’mon man, give the dog something original. My current lab’s name, you ask? Lamar.
 
How about Colt, after Samuel Colt
Or Teddy because he looks like a teddy bear and after the badass that was Pres Roosevelt.

Living in New Orleans i named my female silver lab we got this spring "Callie" short for Calliope. If you want you are welcome to the name i had earmarked for a male, "Chop" (or "Tchop") short for Tchoupitoulas.
 
What do you call a hunting dog with no legs?

I knew a guy that bragged about his hunting dog all the time. He told me once that he wounded a duck that glided away and landed a half of a mile from where he shot it. His dog took off and disappeared. 15 min later, the dog returned with the duck in his mouth...

I said, I don't know...that seems awful far-fetched to me.
