Entire setup...5.25 lbs

Got my order for 15 VtBowlts in. Thinking heat shrink might be in order to quiet any clank. Looking forward to getting them and trying them out.

You guys are hell on my wallet.

I did order heat shrink too, so that may be happening for me as well...

Notta. Hunt was mostly about testing gear. 90 degree highs still and not a breath of air. Pigs don't come out of the marsh good until it cools a bit and the acorns are dropping properly. We're getting close, but most of them are still green and good for nothing but squirrel chow

I know one or two spots that I could try, but I'm trying my best to make sure my ankle is back to 100% before I make the 2 mile walk back there. Did I mention it's also 90 degrees?
Gotcha, 50 degrees and raining here...almost feels like deer season...almost.

I have big feet and placed a second order for 6.5" rods. I'm going to sell the original set of 6" that I bought. I'll give a 15.00 discount on them over what you'd normally pay - shoot me a PM if you're interested. They're going in the classifieds as soon as the new ones come in.

Wouldn't fit in the hole that I drilled with my Woodpecker drill. Wouldn't fit in the hole that I drilled with my cordless drill motor with an EZ-Kut bit. Fit extremely tight in the hole that I drilled with my EZ-Kut hand drill.

I've got a buyer for them so I'm going to delete my post.

Mr. Womack, that really bums me out. I know I absolutely adore mine. Would you be interested in trying some of mine out? I think they are different. I went with the Rock West ones, and they are a perfect fit for my EZ kut's hole.

I'm in Mobile, AL. Not sure what part of Louisianna you're in, but I'd be willing to drive and meet you somewhere if you'd like to try mine.

Yes, I was excited about them so you can imagine my disappointment when the rod wouldn't fit in the hole. I even pulled a bolt out of my practice tree and wasn't able to force the rod it that hole. I have a hole gage and the rods wouldn't even fit in the 3/8th hole. It did fit in the hole that I drilled with my EZ-Kut hand drill but I had to force it.

Thank you, I appreciate your offer but that's way too much trouble. I'm good with the bolts..... been using them since 1983.

There's no doubt that regular grade 8 bolts work, and I don't want to be pushy, but if you'll pm me your address I'll mail you my set. If you like them you can buy me some new ones. If not, just ship them back to me.

They are seriously that good. And you're the one that introduced me to bolts, which have absolutely rocked my world. I just hate to see the man himself miss the boat.

That's nice of your @Nutterbuster. I hope @WHW will take you up on it. I just prepped 4 trees this morning and I decided I don't want to keep leaving my bolts in the trees and a dozen or more bolts are heavy. So I ordered some from Rock West.

That is a fantastic gesture Nut! You should really take him up on it Warren. We all know and appreciate how much you’ve contributed to us, let Nut give one back and you enjoy it.

You're too kind to be pushy. lol

I'm glad to know that it was me that introduced you to the drill & bolt climbing method, and that you appreciate that method. Seriously, I'm over the carbon rod deal and satisfied with what I'm been using for all these years. I made a hunt with bolts this morning and they worked fine. lol With that said, I'm very appreciative of your generous offer. Thank You!

Lol, I give up!

If you ever change your mind, the offer stands. 1lb to get to 30ft is life-changing. Fits in your back pocket and doesn't even make your britches sag!

On a different note, buyer beware. Seems like that manufacturer should probably be avoided. I'd recommend sticking with Rock West composites. Haven't heard of a problem with their stuff.

How long does it take to get them from Rock West once ordered? I ordered this afternoon, had them cut them to 6.5".
