Euro Mount Plaques

I’m going to 3D print a couple of these for my skulls, any tips?

Thanks!

Yes I probably could but would take some playing (I've got a few skull caps laying around that I would like to make into euros). I've been considering buying a dual filament machine to better do highly complex shapes. A Dual filament machine would allow me to use water soluble filament for support material (higher quality surface finish/less post processing.) If I get sometime to play with it I'll let you know.
Could you screw a skull plate onto the hanger post?

Try to adjust the shell layers and the infill so the post is completely or nearly 100% infill. I use a 0.6mm nozzle with a 4 layer shell (total shell is 2.4mm, 5.8mm across the diameter of the post. If using cura, just preview it until you get the sweet spot of full or close to it.

I've never tested that but I don't see why not. I would heat up a drill bit with a lighter that is sized to the minor diameter of the threads on the screw and make a hole, let the material cool, then slowly screw it together. The layer lines are being somewhat pulled apart by the load at that point so I can't guarantee it will work. longer the screw the better most likely.

Here is something i got into this year.
did this buck i killed few years back
It came out really nice.
all this was built from scrap fence pickets and scrap pieces from pallets
I am going to start making them for around 100$ plus shipping.
If you have a skull you need or want done like this.
pm me if interested. savingPNG.jpg
