Expensive Hiking Boots?

I've gotten some smoking deals on milsurp boots from Sportsmans Guide. Even better if you're in MN and can swing by their outlet in South St. Paul; instead of going through the hassle of putting returns back in the warehouse they put them out on the floor at a generous discount. Got a pair of $200 Bates for $60, about 20 years ago. They had the wrong size tag so were factory seconds but were otherwise flawless. And, of course, I tried them on before I bought them.
I have a pair of Danner Acadia. Don't wear them any more. My Kenetreks and Crispi are far superior in comfort and performance. My Kenetrek Hardscrabbles have to have at least 300+ miles on them probably closer to 500 miles since 2020. Leather barely shows any wear, but the soles need to be replaced. My Crispi's probably have 75 miles on them this year while wearing a 30-70 pound pack.

I tried the Wyoming’s, Nevada’s, and ultimately decided on the Valdres. I thought I had a wide foot, I’ve purchased several work boots and tennis shoes in a wide in the past. I bought the Wyoming’s because I knew it was Crispi’s widest boot. I got some pinching on the top of my foot and after talking to Crispi they told me my foot did not have enough volume. It takes a big foot to fill out a Wyoming. The Nevadas are built on a little smaller last and the Valdres are the smallest.
The Nevadas are a little heavier than the Valdres and probably would be a little better all around boot, especially if you wanted to wear them when the temps started falling. The Valdres are lighter and more breathable.
I would recommend calling Crispi. I spoke to them on two different occasions. Both people I spoke to were super knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with me on the phone discussing my needs and options.
I do wear a wide in 11 1/2 or when wide isn't available I can wear a 12 regular width
I would measure your foot and call them. They will let you know which boot will fit best. Even the Nevada is a pretty wide boot.
Also, I started to add to my post above that the Thor is a 4 flex and the other two you mention are a 3 flex, along with the Valdres. The 4 flex is a pretty stiff boot. I just wore the Valdres all through some pretty rough terrain for two weeks in CO and I never felt like I needed a stiffer boot.
I'll give them a call and also see if there's anywhere local that I can try some on.
What is your opinion on their arch support? I have pretty bad plantar fasciaitis in my right foot that comes and goes. Been wearing an orthotic insole and icing/stretching, but it still gets pretty bad. Flat soled shoes/boots with no arch makes it flare back up again.

Get insoles. There isn’t a boot out there with the possible exception of going the custom fitting/orthotic route like @Bigterp did that will fit your feet perfectly. I have some PF issues also and bought the Superfeet Hike Support insoles and my feet did great.
