EZV SIGHT

Yeah, I just watched some dude called “Ranch Fairy” explain the quartering shot perfectly. His first video he was getting on my nerves a bit, the second one he was off the meth and his message sank in.

I hope it helps my situation, worth a try. I haven't shot but one deer over 30 yards in my life and no elk that far so not a issue in my mind. I dont small game hunt with a bow, so that not a issue for me. From what I've found on the web, mostly positive reviews, except from people who haven't shot one ever. Those folks must be government workers, lol.

I'm really hoping to shoot @kyler1945's ezv at some point. I like the concept of ditching pins and "just shooting the deer." But I don't know that I see an advantage over a fixed single pin.

I don't range critters. They're either out of range or close enough to put the pin on and shoot. I find it pretty intuitive to "little high, little low" the pin on them to get a good result. Works regardless of climbing height, size of deer, or shot angle.

I kind of think it's a solution looking for a problem. Guys like "features" and new tech, and to be different than the rest of the pack. Marketers capitalize on that.

It reminds me a gosh-awful lot of a pendulum sight. Cool idea, but it comes with its own problems.

Haha, he is over the top but here in TX, that's how they are, lol. The actual website has good info also.

Agreed that if you already have a single pin and just put it in the middle and shoot, there may not be a lot to gain. If you can do that for $40 versus $140 even better.

The EZV does seem bomb proof. Not that that has ever been an issue with my moveable 1 pin sight, but the EZV is impressively more robust.

Finally, there seems to be an instinctive element where the EZV allows the unconscious to take over and just put the arrow where it needs to go. This may be more coolness than a clear advantage over 1 pin.

I’m just starting with it, but it seems to live up to the hype so far.

Ah... so they are openly and directly violating PayPals policy on not surcharging more for accepting PayPal as payment.... Interesting...

It has worked well for me but took a good month of shooting....much faster shot process for me with it.

Gotta say love the dialogue and perspectives. I went ahead and ordered one...if I didnt spend it on this I'd spend it on something else I dont need I have a habit of that

Excuse my ignorance, but how does this whole "shooting spots" thing work when your reference for distance, a deer's vitals, isn't in the picture? are you doing this at known distances and using the notches that you know work for that distance?

While you folks that are knowledgeable with this site are pondering a response, how about adding in exactly what reference on the deer, beyond "the vitals", when you shoot. Is it "chest and elbow" or what? I need to know these things, lol.

I shoot spots at known distance using the tick marks. Mainly just wanted to see if I could still hit small target using the tick marks.

For framing a deer in the V, you use the front of the shoulder to the rear of the rib cage. As Scoutman said, lots of videos that show demos of how the sight works. The V works for broadside and quartering angles. Once you use the sight for a little while, your subconscious does kind of take over and the sight becomes more instinctive to shoot without thinking. Hard to fully grasp it without shooting one.

More convinced everyday

I got an EZV sight for valentines from my valentine. Took 6 arrows to sight in. I have only shot it at 20 but I am loving it. Having to shoot different spots not to Robin Hood arrows. Whenever it stops raining, I’ll be stretching the distance a bit

Keep us updated. I use my 1st pin out to 30yds so I am interested in how it does at farther distances.

Just picked one up in the AT classifieds for $70. Can't wait to get some shots through it! Been holding out since last year because I like my MBG Ascent, but almost everyone who has one loves it. Even those who don't keep it don't say it's junk, just wasn't for them. Hopefully will have a few turkeys to test it out on!

I ordered one last week. Hopefully it comes soon.

Put one on my spare bow to use in thick cover. Found it to be faster to get on target & shoot. Better in low light. More instinctive & surprisingly accurate at longer ranges. I use the marks side of disc to use with my range finder if time allows. Will help people with target panic since you are focusing on point of impact & not pin placement. All adds up to better chance of taking advantage when shot opportunity arrives.

I read a post on AT that Aaron said new thinner inserts will be available with different colors at the end of March. Not really worried about the color, but interested in a thinner one.

Thinking hard about buying one. Maybe I will hold off a while to see if this happens.

I couldn't stand it anymore and ordered one just to give it a shot. I dont think I really need it as I have enough work to do with just my form...semi new to compound...more of a return customer. Anywho, got it, had it setup in about 10 mins in my basement after shooting through chrono. Didnt follow the exact setup directions but took it to my club and tried to square up on archery target rings and wasnt the easiest. Will definitely take some getting used to. Probably just going to hang on to it until spring and I can get out for some 3d ranges. Recommend holding off until you can get outside for some shooting in your area. For the time being I've bailed back to my pin to finish out my league. If I fully decide against it I'll be outside the 30 day return, but shouldnt lose my butt in resale. Worth a shot...get it? Interesting concept, definitely didnt make me any worse 10 yds in my basement, but 20 yds on the target was a little tougher than pins, but only gave it an hour or so. Hope this helps someone
