Family Saddles

Much appreciated input drew13. My initial thoughts on those points where that they would not be load bearing, but I decided otherwise on the final version. Those specific points where reworked. See below:

Where did you pick up the side release buckles, they look like cobra clones.

They are. Found them on Amazon:

Down side is, they are heavy. I ended up swapping out for these G-hooks:

I tested 2 of these to their breaking point and both exceeded 500lbs of pull, but not by much.

Looks cool. I love DIY projects!

Please TEST TEST TEST. I share @drew13 concerns with a couple of safety items.
It looks to me like you chose to lock stitch both loops on the Amsteel bridge. Any reason why you didn't choose locked brummels?
You might also want to figure a way to stiffen up those lineman loops. I think they might be too floppy and a little difficult to use, but that's an easy fix.

Cool project and thanks for sharing. DIY is awesome, but please, please, please, please, please test everything extensively before leaving the ground.

Thanks G2! Means a lot coming from one of the originators!
I did change over to a locked brummel on one side and lock stitch on one side. I originally had locked brummels on both sides, but forgot to add the bridge when I made the damn thing!

I agree about the bridge loops. Im thinking I will remove the stitches and put a piece of 3/4 webbing inside of the tube webbing.

Nice diy job

Looks like you know what your doing

G2’s suggestions will get you even further ahead of the learning
