Here is my setup
I’m using unloaded prusik knot for backup and your setup to hold me when I take off my one stick
Works great !!

Fabulous!
Are you leaving one wrap for rappel?
I tried that and it kinda sucked because of the delta link keeps wanting to fall down the tree.
That's just one of the reasons I climb with a normal tether...
Instead of a prusik, try a klemheist. It'll catch like a prusik but you can release it while under load.
That's the thing about backups. You never intend to use them until you do. With the klemheist or autoblock, it'll catch you without leaving you stuck.

What kind of anchor knot it that? It could just be the knot angle but it doesn't look like a scaffold knot.
This will also work but I like the rubber grommet better

I tried using this approach for 2TC and hated it as there were too many sub steps involved. Climbing on a girth hitched tether releases easy and sets instantly. The rubber washers do work great though when fixing the rappel line though.

I have just tried @phatkaw way and while I can appreciate the need for a back up I dont feel it's needed. Seems like having a prusik above the figure 8 is just redundant, which is perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with being on the cautious side. I was just wonder if having the klemheist or autoblock would be a better option. Since they are much easier to loosen under load. My first rappel was done today and I used his double soft lock for hands free and the single soft lock on rappel. Didn't use a back up and the double soft lock held just fine. The soft lock on rappel was very comfortable and when weighted, the drop was very manageable. The decent speed was a good pace and the stopping was able to be done with just 2 fingers. Foe me it simplified things and I didnt have to spend any big cash on a Madrock, Grigri or Beal Birdie. However, I could see the need for the back up especially if injured while rappelling. Being able to finish the rappel with one hand and not worry about falling does set the mind at ease.
