First Nice Buck Located

I love seeing these pics! Keep up the awesome work guys! I’m trying to learn through all of you!

I’ve only been able to get one camera pull so far, but this buck should be a dandy this year.
I almost got him from the ground last year while he was tending a doe.

Last time I visited the great state of Texas i spent 5 days at the King Ranch on a buck research project. Spent some quality time with some REAL COWBOYS. Best time of my life

Those Larch trees planted in the background were only planted about 4-5 years ago. It was pretty much an open field. I think we have created too much cover as now its getting harder to pinpoint exact movement. But its neat to see deer using it and feeling comfortable.

Finally got a chance to check my cams today at a farm I hunt, noticed a branch had moved in front of the cam, moved it, swapped cards and went home to check pics and I find this:

That "branch" had turned into a licking branch and about 5 different bucks were using it. Sigh. Time to get an SD card reader so I can start checking pics in the field.

Wow...your in the money

Great looking bucks. I have a couple of good ones on my farm. I just got cameras out on another farm that has been flooded for about 6 months, so we'll soon see what has moved back in there. I'm going to try putting the pics here, see if I can make it work. Be forewarned, the pics suck. They are pics of pics, but you get the idea.

Hey if this were a photography forum, maybe you'd get some crap for bad pics. But luckily we still get excited about bucks no matter how blurry they are!

Yes, I communicated with Rodger for many years regarding whitetails. Rodger was a true pioneer when he wrote the book "In pursuit of Trophy Whitetail" without this little paperback we may have never known the details of deer and buck behaviors. Rodger had a gift...its a shame the hunting industry drove him out of the limelight. Theres not one person on the outdoor channels and I mean not one who could shine his shoes. I really have to give much of my personal success to him and that little book. Without knowing what different scrapes are all about many of the so called experts would be selling you something else...

Hey, that looks familiar. Roger was "The Man"... Last time I spoke with his son, he said you wouldn't believe the bucks he's taken since moving to Iowa. So sad he's gone...

If anybody is interested in Roger's farm, I believe that it is for sale on whitetail properties. Looks like some really fantastic bucks came from that place, but you would definitely have to pay to play on it.

From what I understand, Bill Winke is/was his neighbor.
