Remington makes a great 300 winmag bolt gun but they don’t have a military discount. If you want a remy which arguably is the best I’d say wait till you PCS and buy one at the BX, can almost guarantee they’ll have one. If not buy from a local gun store who will almost certainly give you a mil discount. You’ll find AK is very military friendly. Super envious of you

I appreciate that info! I’m pretty excited myself! This is like a dream come true. Although I’ve been told that I will be too busy to go hunting or fishing and that it can even be hard to take a leave because it’s hard to find somebody to provide coverage. I say… Challenge accepted!

As a follow up to this, I was thinking the other day, find out who your base armorer is and have them do some work to it, bet they’d love too. Maybe some trigger work, lower poundage trigger, maybe some feed ramp polishing or bolt work, thread that barrel and throw a can on it, etc.

The BX can order guns as well. I had them order my Sig Cross, CMMG 350 Legend, and my .44. And you don’t have any commitment to buy when it comes in, which I had to utilize as the Sig bolt was trashed so they had to send it back.

I don’t think I saw it in here but QAD has 40% off for mil, LEO, first responders, media, guides, etc through their VIP program. Just email them and they’ll send you the portal link.
 
Lone Wolf Custom finally increase their military discount to something worth wild.
You sign up through GovX.
Alot of other companies through GovX. A little hard to find some of the stuff.
