Waiting to get my Tethrd kit, made the switch to true run and gun set up this season using a lone wolf alpha and sticks.. Ive seen and had many more encounters by switching up my hunting locations this year. In the past I’ve hunted ladder stands and climbers. I’m hunting all private ground in Ohio around 500 acres of farm ground with some wetlands and woods mixed in.. As well as a few small private parcels. Next year I plan to hunt some public ground less than a few miles from my house that doesn’t seem to be pressured much so it should add another 400-500 acres to acreage I can cover.. currently I have gotten rid of all but three ladder stands for my dad, I traded my lonewolf alpha for an assault as a back up set or a stand for my wife to sit in while I saddle hunt beside her. I’m going to run lonewolf sticks but plan on buying a set of beast sticks as well I will rely on these for public ground and if I want to leave a set up in the woods on the private ground. For my private ground I plan on running bolts next year. I’ve been lurking and reading a lot on here and I’m excited to get into a saddle I hope it’s as awesome as it seems and I can leave the wolf in the garage.

Oh my gosh you are going to slay them! That kind of acreage, pre prepped trees with bolts, that kind of habitat! Can’t wait to see your pictures next year! Do you have any season left this year?

Welcome from Ohio. I am just North of Columbus and am getting geared up for next season. Good luck and be safe.
