Fletching Contact

So had a bow setup for an Onnex Clicker.

Every so often though I think I’m getting fletching contact on my rest (the top containment bar on QAD HDX). That’s my guess because arrow will usually hit 6-8” low and a fletching will get ripped off.

Anyone have any ideas off the top that I might be doing? Never had this issue with my hook style wrist released. Torquing release as it lets go maybe?

Tired of Re-fletching arrows every week.

If the cables stretch or you twist or untwist them, you will change rest timing. Also, if you adjust the rest (especially up and down) it will change timing.

Have you done those things?

I have the same rest on my backup bow and shot it for years (now shoot Hamskea). I did not follow the company's timing instructions but rather did it using a draw board. I did it by going to full draw. Letting down 1/2" to 1" of draw and timing rest to upright at that moment.

I would also shoot fletched vs bareshaft and either coat my vanes with chalk or spray it with foot spray and shoot and see if there is contact. But from your post....there definitely is and you have to figure out why and how to fix it.

It seems like your rest is either not timed or is malfunctioning and not dropping all the time.

Personally, I'd look at a cable driven rest long term. The arguments in favor of cable driven are highly unmotivating for me.

Yeah I’ve checked timing and it’s dropping even when shots go awry. I re-paper tuned and with a good shot got this
