Flex question

I do know when I was looking for cordura as part of the Wraptor projecr, it is difficult to find it without the coating, seems to be a standard thing. Again, this does not affect the saddle at all and was not there to prevent slippage either.
 
My Flex is equally as bad or worse. The thread is fraying on the inside. This is my first saddle I praticed with it a dozen times. Pretty ratty on the inside. I figure by the end of season I will call it a Kite.
 
Mine is doing the same thing. It's my first non DIY saddle, so I'm a little disappointed. Sent pics to AH - no reply from them. Would have been nice to hear from the manufacturer that the coating wear does not affect the integrity of the saddle.
 
The saddle material is designed that way to differentiate from real saddle users instead of just wannabe's that don't really saddle hunt but want to belong to the 'in crowd'and have a saddle just for 'looks' lol lol ...All you gotta do is see how much wear is on the liner to know how much they are being used....To be a saddle 'master' all liner will be off the saddle from many sits in the saddle....lol

Please send me all your ugly saddles because they are to ugly to look at. It's how it performs that really counts looking pretty wont catch you deer. Just like I tell all my fishing buddies with expensive gear when they scratch there 500 dollar reels and rods.
 
I believe as others mentioned it's just a coating and while it doesn't look good it doesn't effect the performance of the saddle at all. Plus I'd rather have the inside wear than the outside camouflage. I'm sure that AeroHunter will make changes based on customer feedback.
 
Yup. Coming off and coming apart in the corners. I’ve only sat in it a few times so far. That's crazy they are doing this. I'll have to keep an eye on mine too. Was your saddle one of the first batches made? I wonder if Aerohunter jumped the gun and rushed some of these out the door.
 
I asked them about the saddle coming apart but they would only touch on the coating and how its a non safety/integrity issue.

Unfortunately, I believe this never ending search of eradicating ounces, around every corner, leads to this. They should have doubled it up like the Kestrel. It might only be aesthetics but what I do notice is the stitching around the MOLLE loops pulling on the Cordura pretty good when setting up pouches. The Kestrel didn’t show this. In any event, I’m a big fan! Very comfortable and the updates over the Kestrel was very nice this year!

Aerohunter Kestrel Flex - Issues

Wanted to start a thread to document the Flex coming apart. Have seen a couple other posts about them coming apart at the seems and the rubber spray coming off. I’m experiencing both and thought why not start tracking it to see where it might lead. Anyways post your Flex issues. If we have...
