Florida quotas....discussion and results

Yeah....he's a young dude who likes to bow hunt so it's pretty cool. I killed 1 late this past season and didn't show up to the check in station till after hours and it was just the 2 of us for a while checking in my deer and he collected the head for cwd testing and we talked for a while until he got bored I guess and showed me how to turn off the generator and lock up and left me too it.
 
Not to stroke our own egos here fellas but that evening only 2 deer checked....they were both on the rack at the same time side by side, and both hunters were comparing each other's saddle set ups......hahaha

The climber guys went home sad and with sore backs
 
Is the SH st Vincent island group all on the same page again this year?

I already informed the warden that I'll be on that island sometime this season, either for the big asian dudes or whitetail depending on how our quota luck goes.

So after phase 1 we need to decide which whitetail hunt we wanna do so we can work the logistics.Screenshot_20230502-061737~2.png

I’m not sure about anyone else but I’m down for the sambar again this year. As for the whitetail, I’m not doing the gulf in January so it would be whitetail archery or bust for me.

No the sambar in November was muzzle loader and the whitetail in January. The October whitetail is archery. I didn’t see an October muzzleloader. Here is a screen shot of the form from last years white tail hunt applicationIMG_7673.png
 
That's right....I just remember not being able to use archery tackle and was bummed but u right...that was sambar. I would think we can assume the same for this year. Maybe they having too much wounding rate with the big critters and flapper/twizzler arrows?

Could be. I just know archery for deer is always the last weekend of October
 
I applied this morning to archery, gen gun, and muzzle hunts.
I'm on the fence about the other hunts, like special opportunities and NWR hunts.
