Foot fatigue

Check out LEMS boulder boot....

Colorado Hippies and I’m pretty sure that’s the first one (or 2 in this instance) has ever stood on a gobbler’s neck, but they are damned comfortable and light as a feather.

Those are sweet. Might get some for the original hipster intent!

How thick are the soles? Doesn’t seem like much. I run the Mini-Mil m, which is a military style minimalist boot. I like it, seems like either would fit the bill. Lately though I’ve enjoyed hunting in my Merrel Trail Gloves (weather permitting) since they breath well my feet don’t get all sweaty and they’re comfy as heck!

Most would say “real thin”, but they’re used to wearing clod hoppers and destroying their feet. I would say they’re about 3/8” or so.

The cordura tops are what I had and your feet will get wet in a heavy dew. I haven’t worn their all leather boots nor have I gotten a pair of their waterproofs they just came out with.

I get foot pain during the season just below the "ball" of my left foot; which I tend to lean on more especially if I'm on steps a lot instead of a platform. My suggestion is to introduce a platform into your set up and the lion's share of your foot pain should go away. I do think boot selection does have some bearing on this as well. I typically hunt in some kind of knee high boots either Lacrosse Burley's or this season I started using a Rough Shod (I think??) Haymaker. The Haymaker is more like a Muck but has a stiffer footbed and sole which comes up around the foot. This stiffness helps a bit with the pain too. I also have military issue "jungle" type boots that seem to have just the right stiffness and "pliability" of any boot for climbing systems and saddle hunting. Unfortunately I cannot wear these much during most of the season due to the cold/wet conditions.

It's the angle of your dangle. Once you get your feet and ankles in a natural, neutral, position (that all going to depend on tether height and lean or sit etc) your discomfort should go away. Once I got the correct platform angle based on the way I hang I can do all day sits in crocs.

I’m a minimalist shoe guy, too. I just ordered the all leather version. I hope they fit. Website states they run 1/2 size small, but they don’t have 13.5, so I stuck with 13.

I was going to order a pair of the leather ones last night too, but they were out of 14 and 15. I wear a 14, but was going to try the 15 for the “1/2 size small” reason.

When I originally bought mine they didn’t make anything larger than a 13 so I gave them a shot. They fit, but I used all available space and really needed the 14.
