For those 2 panel-ers

I ordered one of each I did not care for them myself, the top panel doesn't support at all when leaning, it is pretty comfortable when sitting but I'm not a sitter . I left the tags on ill be sending them back

I hate you didn’t like them. I’m hoping I’ll like mine. @HunterDan let us know if they accept a return on the two your ordered.

Just a heads up to anyone wanting to try these out. I was pretty cautious while going through the check out to check return policy etc. and these products were marked (FS) Final Sale during my check out as I think most of their clearance items are which per sherrilltree means NO RETURN. They are likely doing this to make room for their 2021 versions of these saddles which are now open for pre order. As far as I can tell the new ones look the same but are in all black.

Anyway, for $50 there isn’t much to lose but don’t expect to be able to return.

Let us know what they say. I emailed em about it before xmas and got no response. I figured they were probably just busy with the holiday but I do suspect these will fall under the final sale category

PastorKen, do you think a second "adjustable" bridge could be added to the linesman D's so you could distribute some weight into the waist belt??? Or just using a back band a better option?? Impatiently waiting on mine to arrive...…….

What saddle do you use for the back support?

I have both as well and I thought the back panel was extremely supportive. Just another reminder of how personal these saddles can be and the importance of trying multiple options before settling down(reminds me of some advice my dad gave me!)

Also, I went into my account on the sherrilltree site and attempted to initiate a return which resulted in a 'no-go' message.

I’m trying a second (additional) bridge now, using the lineman’s D rings. I like it! Great idea @RatherBArchery !

I was thinking the same thing. Adding a bridge to those side rings should add more back support as well. As those rings are attached directly to the back strap portion.

If the returns don't work out and someone wants to sell the floating d at a reduced rate let me know! 32" waist so probably need a size 1.

Another thought I had before getting the harness is that since the bridge looks shorter, and there could be a chance of hip pinch, could a spreader be fabricated and placed between the bridge to alleviate that??? Maybe this isn't an issue...………...

Con concur my emailed order confirmation said the same listed sale as "FS" = "Final Sale no return" per explanation at bottom of emailed document.
Have to be more attenuative, have made purchases before where I failed to see reruns would include a 10-20% return/restocking fee.

How about the more savvy DIY'ers post a few simple easy to do upgrades even novices like me can make to this saddle if we end up needing them?

I bought both saddles and I will be keeping the floating-d. It's pretty stiff (new, never worn, and not broken in) and it is a full step-into design, as none of the strapping is able to be disconnected to open. I'm going to leave it as is, play with it, and abuse it in the off-season lol. However, a few mods that I would do to make it a better hunting saddle would be: carefully cut off the leg strap buckles and replace with g-hooks, no sewing required; I would also cut off the floating d-ring and opt to used a carabiner, such as the Black Diamond Mini-Pearabiner, on the bridge vs. the ring. Overall for $50, I'm really happy with my purchase!

I personally don't really see the practicality (as a hunting saddle) of the 4d model, without modifications requiring sewing, that is... Buy the floating-d model! I'm actually debating listing the 4d model for sale here, or seeing if I can exchange it for another floating-d model (to try my mods on).

How have you guys bought these for $50 it’s nearly $100 when I try to check out?

I had trouble when I tried to add the 10% off it wanted to charge me a bunch for shipping. I ordered 2 so after $99 was free shipping.
