I stand corrected. I remember seeing him on Johnny Carson, and saw a picture of him presenting a President with one of his gifts.

You’re right, he was on Johnny Carson! I remember that being a big deal around town back then. There used to be a YouTube video of him flying his airplane under a bridge in SC.
