Anyone ever use one of these? Same fall rating as the ropeman, and it’s a tad cheaper. Just weighing the options...unless someone wants to offload a ropeman for about $25 F7AE0527-C422-4F45-B955-5ABDFD09DC17.png
 
Don't knw if it matters in your intended application but one of the advantages of the Ropeman is that you can easily open it up an install it (or take it off) in mid rope, you don't have to thread the full length thru it. I do this when I use the ropeman ascending on a full length rope. This doesn't look like it has that option.

Yeah, I didn’t notice that. The more I looked into it the more I became disinterested. If I go the ascender route it will definitely be the ropeman.
