It does remind me of a conversation between my friends one turkey season.

1st friend: Hey man can I borrow your shotgun tomorrow?
2nd friend: Nope.
1st friend: I will take care of it like it's my own.
2nd friend: That is what I am afraid of. Heck no!

One person's "gentle" , is another person's "beating the crap out of it."

I hate borrowing my dad's guns because of that. I buy synthetic/stainless. He buys nice bluing and nice wood. A stainless/synthetic guy should not borrow a bluing/wood guy's guns. His definition of abuse is "hunting in the rain." Mine is much looser. I haven't shot one of his guns since I was old enough to buy my own.

I'm not 100% clear on the exact legality, but it could be that requiring the shipping be done via USPS only and if anyone failed to pay up for taking an item or damages, having agreed to the terms in advance, may constitute mail fraud, which is a federal offense and would be a huge deterrent to not playing fairly. I know we have some post office guys on here, hopefully they weigh in for the scoop.

"There are two elements to the federal crime of Mail Fraud: (1) devising or intending to devise a scheme to defraud, or performing specific fraudulent acts, and; (2) using the mail for the specific purpose of executing the scheme of the fraudulent acts."

A part of me like the security and insurance that this idea brings. But another part want to involved federal bureaucracies as less as possible. Like putting more faith in fellow members, an agreed upon rule set, common sense, and the honor system.

But I would like to be part of it even if we just start small, willing to put some gears based on my extremely positive experiences on this forum. I have a Klemz platform made from an old Lone Wolf Sand Cast seat and/or a set of Bullman ROS if anyone want to try them. Thinking about following rules, what do everyone think?

Basic rules:
-50 posts.
-You pay for shipping.
-$60 if you damage it beyond use , must show pictures. If you want to buy it out right, I have final say based on my attachment to the item and price offered.
-Return after 2 weeks unless you ask for extension (which I see no reason to say no to honestly).
-You can pass it on to another member as long as I'm aware of the transaction and they agreed to same rules.
-I need it back by August for practice myself before next season.
