Gear that doesn't exist wishlist

Base layers and socks that actively managed sweat/moisture and dry themselves. Sometimes I feel that nanotechnology will be the only real way to deal with sweating walking in when it's cold out, and then freezing in the stand.

You could take a warm wx synthetic layer and stitch it inside of a wool layer or simply wear the individual layers. The syn layer pulls the sweat away and the wool evaporating that sweat.

All public land across all the places I want to hunt or might want to hunt making bolts legal and encouraged.

Sitka to bring back whatever model rain gear that I have in the forest optifade pattern. It’s quieter than half the “whitetail” gear I own from any brand, and completely waterproof. I hate wearing it because I don’t want to wear it out completely.

Climbing sticks quiver that works with sticks like lwcg single step sticks. Can be loaded and unloaded slung over my shoulder/under my arm as I climb.

Blood tracking network app to ping your general location and basic information about a track that trackers can see and get notifications and then call you if they are interested in the track.

Mechanical broadhead with .06” minimum blade thickness, 1.5-1.75” cut, 125-150gr total weight, single piece ferrule with tip shaped to lead each blade through bone.

Pods to be made legal and available again.

A hickory creek mini that shoots a 550gr arrow at 300fps. Could easily be accomplished with just 10-15lb more limb pull.

A functional trigger guard and safety for the hickory creek mini above.

All hunting pant manufacturers to offer the option of full zip off for every single pant they offer.

Underwater trail cameras that I can stick on brush piles so I know when the sacalait show up.

A child as interested in the outdoors as I am

Is that all too much to ask?

More pants that come in actual sizes, like some of the Pnuma do.

An integrated or attached cam buckle

Sorry, forgot that one too.

In 2023, with the technology we have, stop recommending the size of the person that would wear your pants.

Just tell us the exact dimensions of the garments. If you’re worried about false advertisement include a tolerance, and disclaimer.

This isn’t hard.

Have you tried putting green superfeet in a pair of alpha burly's or muck's? Arch on the superfeet doesnt work for my foot but I found another insole that does and have been wanting to try them in my alpha burly's.
Superfeet now has a slew of different insoles. You might find one that works for you.

I would actually like to see less gear. It's insane how much stuff we buy to kill deer.
I long for the days when hunting wasn't a huge commercial enterprise.

Unless they changed the location of the arch, they wont work. I tried 4 or 5 of the different superfeet back when I was looking for a good insert. Mastercraft inserts fit my foot perfectly.

I am kinda torn on the pod issue. I actually have a half dozen or so and an unopened bottle of medicine from back in the 80's. Never shot a deer with one but knew plenty of guys that did. Zero wounding loss with that stuff. But that fact alone I think goes a long way towards not promoting accuracy with your weapon which for me is a key tenet of being a good hunter. If they were made legal again, I wouldnt use them but there are a lot of folks hitting the woods each year that probably should.

Still chasing the perfect hoody. Heavyweight, windproof, Sherpa lined, athletic fit, turret hood, pockets. There are some that are close but I haven't found THE one yet.

Seriously??
With the ridiculous amount of gear available, you still need poison arrows to kill deer?
Pods would have a disastrous effect on our image as hunters.
I hope that wish never comes to fruition.
Y’all are both wild for this one

I’ve considered the incentives involved.

I know my opinion is against the grain on this one.

But it’s based on an honest assessment of what we’re doing, not the rosy story we all want to tell.

Probably a discussion for another thread.

A True Saddle Hunting Pack.

Quiet Material material ( non crinkly when cold), ability to haul 4 sticks and a platform, ability to handle extra layers during cold weather, ability to hold extra gear during all day rut sits, vented back for warm weather walking.

Not overly big. Maybe be modular so it can be small for early season then add capacity for later in the season.

Mystery Ranch and Eberlestock have gotten close but can’t get the material quiet. I realize that may be for durability but a treestand guy doesn’t need the toughness of a western pack out hunter. They should try a beefed up fleece……

Start it up, it’s gonna be wild!

Exo k3 frame with whatever quiet bags you want on it.

Or pop up frame with whatever quiet bags you want on it.

I prefer the JX3 versa pack system to go with whatever seat/frame/thing I’m taking in the woods. But you can piece together your own kit.

As far as layers are concerned, I still can’t understand why anyone wants to put heavy layers into a bag. Just strap em to whatever you’re already carrying. They are fabric. They don’t need to be in fabric for a walk through the woods. If you’re worried about rain, they make rain flys for packs, and they’ll go over your layers too.
