Getting these

Recently? I remember @Ontariofarmer sticks from fiberglass hockey sticks.
I tried that but I prefer 6061 aluminium. I was not confident in the holes through the stick. Perhaps if I had spent some time putting bushings in they would work

The standoff seemed to want to bend the tube.

So, I had a nice conversation with Brad, the developer of these new sticks, today. Nice guy!
He's expecting the website to be up and running within the next week or two, and begin taking/ fulfilling orders within a couple weeks as well. I wouldn't necessarily count on trying to have these in hand much before this season starts, he realizes the rollouts a little late, too. But he's hoping enough guys get them in their hands this year, that next year sales will really be good. He is also prepared for the initial rollout, with 500 sets(4).
When the website is up and running, it will have all of the statistics, but from talking with him it sounds like these things are going to be super strong (300lbs. rated), and they were tested at a very extremely cold temperatures as well (-40).
I think it's going to be a good American-made product. We know our plastics in this country, that is for sure!
I personally like the look of the wider step, which he says he has curved the backside of for more comfortable grip while climbing. The stackability looks great too. They are supposedly silent carrying through the woods.
Pricing should be around $50 a stick.

I've experienced plastic gear failing in cold temps. No thanks.
Hey, Scott. I'm Brad with Stacked Outdoors. Just wanted to let you know the material used to make the Stacked Ladder Sticks was tested down to -40 degrees. The tensile strength actually improves

Hi, Scott. I'm Brad with Stacked Outdoors. We're really excited about introducing the new ladder sticks hopefully by the end of next week. We spent nearly 4 years developing and testing the product. We actually had earlier designs that met standards recognized by TMA but I wanted to take it further than that. We tested our sticks "to failure" even though ASTM standards don't require it. According to the testing lab, most companies don't test their equipment "to failure" and only test repetitive and static load. As far as the cold temps go, from room temp down to -40 degrees the material in our sticks actually gets stronger and the impact strength is hardly effected. The sticks are also made with a UV inhibitor in the material. I just thought I'd add this to the discussion. I hope you find this info to be useful. Good luck out there.

Hey Brad @StackedHunter , welcome to the site. Always happy to see some new gear on the market, and people around here have been talking about some composite/plastic sticks for a while. I'm sure they will be psyched to check them out.

And you said not 2 days ago, you were "all set" on gear...think it was the saddle hunters anonymous thread....better head to another meeting soon.
Yes, well, that was BEFORE the shiny new toy came out. lol

Seriously though, I'm fine guys. I can stop whenever I want. And I will. I will...

right after this one.

These look great. Bit heavy for hiking way back but would be great on the farm for quick sets.

Hi Brad. Always like to see new and innovative products come along for hunters. That said, hope you understand that I'm the type that is very conservative and pragmatic when it comes to gear my life depends on. I will not be an early adopter of a plastic ladder system. I'll wait until thousands of others have put it to use over a good length of time before I even consider it. Nothing personal and I wish you good luck.

Looks interesting I'm a newbie,,dont have my mantis yet but looking for a climbing methods and platform. Does anybody have a workable web site for these???? THANKS

These look great. I’m hoping they come in at a cheaper price point than other sticks on the market. I am unable to find the website as well
