Getting these

Looks interesting I'm a newbie,,dont have my mantis yet but looking for a climbing methods and platform. Does anybody have a workable web site for these???? THANKS
Hey, Badger. The stackedoutdoors.com Website should be up next week and hopefully taking orders by Sept 10th. Thanks.

2.34 pounds without a strap. That seems alot for a plastic stick. We are going in the right direction. The future could be 1lb stackable sticks.
Hey, sdonx. I will say we could have made them significantly lighter and still passed all the standards recognized by TMA but I'm extremely conservative and I just felt more comfortable overdesigning the product and them weighing a few ounces more than having trouble sleeping at night knowing so many people will be relying on the product to be a safe one. Also keep in mind they have steps on both sides and the surface area for your boots is nearly 5 times that of the common thin metal(slippery) step we've all become used to. Good luck this season!

Just when I thought I had nodded my sticks to perfection something new comes out!...... I could see an honest argument for the larger surface area steps and stackability in exchange for some increased weight.

Someone had a concern about using them in the cold. Has that been addressed?

Just wanted to say very nice product! I know there hasn't been too many molded stick manufacturers over the years. The ameristep bucksteps are still sold I believe. There was another manufacturer, Odin Outdoors, who had a novel removeable step concept, but I don't think it panned out.

I am well aware of what plastic is capable of. The company I work for consults on engineering products and what they can do with polymers is absolutely amazing these days. Good luck + I'd love to get my hands on the product eventually!

Interesting idea. I think a 3 step stick would be worth developing though weight and bulk might make mobile hunting more difficult.

Now, If you could just mold the camouflage into the plastic to make it look like tree bark.

We experimented with gray and green colors and they look awesome but when you add the color to the material it weakens the raw material, which is black. We are working on ways to color without jeopardizing strength.

What about painting after production? If we would paint it with matte camo would it be fine or weaken the product?

It would be fine to paint but don’t prep by sanding, that could weaken the product by breaking down the reinforcing.

Very interesting. The do stack up nice and clean.

They should make a ring of steps from the same stuff.

Can you put up the link when they go online?

Just checked and the website is up and running. Anyone get these yet? My hunting budget is spent for this year but maybe next year for me.
