Going super light with 1 stick

I pulled a good one tonight. Didn't bring an aider for the one stick. So, I one sticked up a limby tree with just a stick. Guess I could ditch the aider haha. It sucks btw

This is a pretty "limby tree".
I ditched my one-stick about 15' below me...

just wanted to follow up on this if you get a chance

Pictures aren't much, tried taking them myself. I have it here in pic on the front of my waist, for pictures only. I run it on my butt, and it kinda sits on my butt I guess you'd say, even tho I don't have much of one. Just a belly. I have rapel attached to my 14 inch stick, linemans as a belt attached to stick and myself. Dynaglide in a dump pouch, and figure 8 if I elect to use one vs munter. 32 or so ft of 8mm rope. Can climb off either rapel or linemans. I'm cut down a foam pad and approx size of my Monarch and strap it to that for transport on longer sits for my knees. Really long sits I throw a ros in my dump with Dynaglide.

still gotta stand on something. 3lb platform or 4.5lb 1 stick. ring of steps suck (you'll realize they suck when u spin out on a mature buck). And like all these people using tethers to climb and it's all good, until u drop something, then you're 25ft up (in my case, usually 30-35) a tree with a 10 ft rope. I think if you are shedding weight by dropping your rappel rope you are asking for a hard climb down. I put quietness, simplicity, speed, and duel use equipment over weight. At 26lbs I'm carrying my bow, 2lbs of optics, and 3 climbing methods- 1 stick, carbon bolts, and a hand climber for SRT. I climb up with all of it and rappel down with all of it. Haven't found a tree I wanted to climb that I couldn't with these things. that being said if I see a method that is better than what I'm using I'll try it, but 2TC ain't it. I can also 2TC with what I already carry so 4 climbing methods @26lbs. that's the thing about this forum, you can take from it what you can use and try/ leave the others
