Well,got me a doe today. The weapon was my Toyota Tundra,my absolute not weapon of choice. Mid day movement,never saw her coming. I was going 55 and never even hit the brakes. I left the dead doe in the ditch i could not have enjoyed a single bite. Plus i bet the whole left side was smashed.20201113_161217.jpg
 
Sorry about your vehicle. I got a doe at 4 am yesterday. I was just coming out of a small city and had gotten up to about 45. I never had a chance to brake. I too left the doe. Her guts exploded and one entire side was smoked pretty badly.

My wife got one with our car last fall on the first night of gun season. She said there was a herd running across. It cost $2000 to fix. Insurance covered most of it.
