Had to take a break and build a sewing table top

Since we're sharing tabletops now... Here's my work in progress. I was finally going to finish it this week by cutting a belt slot, mounting an 1100W motor (brass inserts underneath), and dropping my Consew 733R on top, but the motor was DOA. It won't be the most dignified end for this piece of wood, but the price was right and I enjoyed finishing it... @Western VA Hunter has the sister piece. Maybe he'll post up when he's done with his.

I'm new to the sewing world.. but just restored a 1941 singer 15-91 motor with all new wiring as well as rewired and went through the whole machine. My daughter makes 40-50's clothes for fun and has rebuilt a few 201's, her fav as well as the feather lights. Mine came out great. I do have a nice WW II non reverse crinkle finish singer, I believe its a model 66 with cabinet and original manual free to a good home as well as the a real nice supernova from the 50's too. All original and not monkeyed with. The supernova someone cut the cord but it a great machine. I paid 15.00 for mine so I'm happy to pass the others on . I got a machine cause I do rendezvous so I wanted to be able to make some long shirts and breeches. I have yet to try mine on any heavier material yet. Want to do a roll up rope pouch soon for 1 one sticking soon.
You folks did some nice work on your tabletops..
