It doesn't look bad for the money!! I'm just using tell my .5 gets delivered and for a backup saddle setup.

Sold it! I like the .5 for both saddle and stand hunting. The 18 in seat and packing sticks is better for me.

Camo fire has these cheap and looks like a beefed up artisan

Gotcha. I have a .5 and like it for saddle use. The Beast stand was getting lots of love most recently, so I’ve kept my ear to the ground on how it’s working out for everybody.

I got one months ago and I practiced with it and I hunted from it in KY's early season. My points:
1) very slippery, I added grip tape and so far so good, but I will wait until MI's late season with iced boots to come back to this.
2) It requires practice to climb on the platform compared to just using the folding steps. Watch for the tip of the boot getting caught below the mini-platform.
3) for short hunts I can use this and not bother hauling a larger platform. for longer hunts I still prefer something with more foot room and the ability to slightly angle down (e.g: a predator platform)

I cut down a full size hawk to 14 inches and added a cam cleat last year. I used it to one stick and then transitioned to predator platform at hunting height. I bought one of these this off season and added it to that stick. It does wiggle a little but I swapped out the push pins with grade 8 hardware and it’s much better. Tested it the other day since the grade 8 switch and it’s much better. I may just use it with couple strap on steps this year. Very conflicted because I love my predator platform also.

I have one too, but got the bigger platform. I’ve only used it once on a pretty good leaner of a tree and had a bad experience. I think I may change out the pins with hardware too and give it another try……still waiting on my Amsteel aider. And it’s a hawk.

I have it set up with the bolts and some nonslip tape working good even the halkhelum stick are better quality than the ones I had before not bad for the price!

The pins included with the platform will not tighten it enough to prevent shifting and added noise. I bolted the platform and it doesnt make make any noise and is stable. I also covered the platform top with padding left over from my stand up paddle board refinish.
