Hands, head, neck, and feet warmth

A wigwam wool blend hat with a short brim, it rolls down into a balaclava. I think it might have been called the "hunter" at one point? who knows...... I wear some pretty think lycra gloves wtih leather palms. Ilike good dexterity. I put my hands in my pockets when I can.

Sitka incinerator hat. Or at least something similar windproof.

Fleece neck gaiter.

Moderately insulated glove on my left (bow) hand. Lightweight glove on my release hand.

Hand muff attached to bridge. Chemical handwarners if you still need a little more warmth. Just grabbing a nice toasty handwarmer is a good mental boost.

Feet I use boot covers and chemical handwarmers.

At a certain point it just boils down to acclimation and mental toughness. I am pretty good at handling cold. The wind beats me down more than cold temps. And I just don't do heavy rain + cold.

as you can see in my pic, I use a shemagh until is drops into the 20s they I pull out my fleece gator/hood. windproof fleece hat on the noggin. haven't completely solved the hands portion...I use a fleece hand warmer muff, when it gets really cold I throw chem hand warmers inside.

this reminds me of the scene from band of brothers - Feet, hands, neck, b@lls, extra socks warms them all. lol

You're exactly right. My "cold" is more of a freezing wind situation than just the sheer cold temps. I have quality clothing (to my knowledge), but there are a few pieces i'm lacking. Two of those are definitely neck/head/ and hands. For my feet, i'm using chemical warmers and a boot cover.

Hand muff with 6-8 adhesive toe warmers

Polyester knit balaclava that extends down my neck. Tuck into collar

Heavy winter boots.

I got a firstlite baclava this year and it has been my favorite addition in some time. Pair it with a neck gator/turtle head if you want to go crazy.

If you wonder about their warmth, thay were used in Antactica by the Steger expedition.

A good windproof fleece vest over Cabelas extreme winter base layers. Muff with 4 chem handwarmers, UA coldgear Head cover, arctic muck boots with thermacell heated soles, and fleece winter pants and jacket. Hunted all day yesterday from 18° up to 28° and was only uncomfortable with the high winds.

Once I’m below 15° it’s heater body suit.
