Hanging at height with madrock

This might sound bad, but never thought of a backup. Now my gears a turning. I think a autoblock or pruisk is a great idea.

What would be the best way to rappel down if the Madrock gave out?

I always carry a few prusiks with me, they weigh nothing and hide in a pack, there are knots you could use to rappel, but if I had a failure in my equipment I would probably inch worm my way down with 2 prusiks.b(edit: If I had a failure at height with my fear of heights already, I'm not sure my mind would be calm enough to be 100% and inchworming down would be a safe way down.)

Good point. It would good for everyone who one sticks to know how to tie a super munter hitch on a normal carabiner use that to get down (maybe with an extra prussic for an autoblock too). I am using the super munter on a biner just to practice because all the mad rocks are sold out.

2 prusiks.... or just learn to DRT so you don’t have to spend all that extra money and worry about back ups
