Hawk Crawler game cart

I have been thinking about purchasing a Hawk crawler game cart as they have a lot of good reviews and I hunt a lot of public land. Does anyone have one of these and do you like it or dislike it. Also where can I get one pretty cheap. I saw them on Ebay and Amazon for around 159.99 free shipping. Midway USA has them for 119.99 but they want 70 bucks for shipping. Thanks for any help.

I picked one up a couple of months ago for about $100 if I remember right. This will be my first season using it so I don’t have any reviews on it but it seems like it will work very well. It is still fairly big even when folded.

I picked up one a couple months ago when Amazon had them on sale. I haven't used it on a deer yet but I did load it up with different items and tested it and it performed really well. I like it. Very sturdy, nicely constructed, pulls and rolls very nicely empty or with a load and the "independent" wheel design truly does allow the wheels to easily and independently roll up and over obstacles while at the same time keep the load centered and balanced. As stated above it does have a large frame, even when folded and it does have some weight to it but that's ok with me because it performs so nicely.

I have had one for a couple years. None of the tires hold air anymore. Debating on filling them with spray foam

Q: "Who makes it?"
A: "Hawk"

Nope, never.

My brother bought two hawk ladder stands. The ladder stands are actually quite nice. That being said I wouldn’t own their saddle. From the reports of the rope issues I question the saddle quality as well. Anyway, when we opened the first box to assemble the ladder stand we pulled out the instructions to start. They weren’t hawk ladder stand instructions. The box had muddy lock on instructions in it. This leads me to believe muddy tree stands and hawk are being built in the same place.
I don’t believe all hawk stuff is bad. I don’t like the heliums or the saddle and I’ve read of their platform breaking but the crawler cart and the ladder stands I’ve seen have all been built well from what I’ve seen.

Same as some of the others, bought at $100 on sale. Have used it to move large tree stumps through my yard. Wheels handle bumps really well. My kids like rolling each other around over rough terrain. If all I have to do is replace some inner tubes in a couple years I’ll be happy.

$120 on Midway right now, FYI…

Midway wants 70 bucks for shipping though. I have one of the 2 wheel carts carts that I think I will try and modify with the wheels like the crawler. I can get the wheels pretty cheap at harbor freight and I have some metal tubing I can use to connect the axle and wheels. I don't think Hawks quality control is very good. Alot of missing parts and damaged wheels in alot of reviews.

Woof, really? Didn’t notice that S&H. Well disregard that then, haha.

I seen that price and saw the free shipping so I put it in my cart and started to check out and then it said "Free shipping not available on this item " Cause it is deemed oversized. I thought SMH. 70 bucks shipping, they can keep it.

Just missed this on camofire, just my luck....... I could grab into a barrel full of titties and grab a "Rooster" if you know what I mean.

the free shipping might just have been me failing at checking out without checking out (it wasn't the deal of the day, jsut a "normal" item. they seem to be cycling through things pretty quick so it could come back again soon. i missed it too and spent more than i needed to because of the convenience of amazon.

Resurrecting this old thread... anyone here have some real time in season deer dragging reports on this cart yet? Last night I used my old sportsman cheapo cart to haul a deer out 1.5 miles and nearly died. Problem is the spot I found is money so I know I will be back there shooting another deer at some point. Last night I would have paid any price for something to make balancing a 150 pound dead weight carcass easier on my back and knees. The hawk crawler "looks" like it bears more of the weight of the animal vs my 2 wheel cart where half my energy is going toward balancing the dang thing while the other half is going towards pulling it out. Anyone have my solution?
