Yes Amsteel will work. I use it with a spliced loop on a versa button attached to my helium sticks

Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk

Just picked my Heliums today. What diameter Amsteel you use? Also when I was looking at specs the weight compared to static didnt seem to be that much lighter? or is it?

I am wanting to pull the trigger on this Mod.

I am assuming the best place to get the Vera buttons is straight from the dealer (lone wolf)?

And secondly, I have been researching what type of rope to go with them (7mm, 8mm, 9mm) . Since the button creates a "Chinese finger trap effect" when the two ropes pinch together at the button. Isn't it important to have the correct diameter of rope? Or can you adjust the spacing between the button and the stick to accommodate different diameter ropes?

Yes buy the versa buttons direct from lone wolf.

I know this is a really old thread, so I'll probably look for others, but I want to try ropes on my Helium sticks. So why does everyone order the LW versa buttons instead of going with the ones on the HH sticks? (Maybe three years ago HH design was different from today.)

Old sticks didn't have a versa button. They had a flat metal strap the webbing hooked to.Screenshot_20200725-191239.png
